Making a batch of puree the long way means a chopping board, a steamer basket, a blender and a sink full of parts afterwards. This unit chops, steams and blends in the same 15 ounce jar, so you load the food, choose a setting and come back when it beeps. Three texture settings run from smooth through medium lumps to coarse pieces, which covers the move from spoon feeding to self feeding.
